Wet since ’69
The town went wet. The shirt gets straight to it.
FORT COLLINS, COLORADO · 1896—1969
A beer town with a 73-year dry spell.
You can’t make this stuff up.
LOCAL HISTORY. LOUD SHIRT.THE LONG WAY TO HAPPY HOUR
Fort Collins banned alcohol sales in 1896. National prohibition came and went. Our local ordinance stuck around.
There were exceptions along the way, including limited sales of 3.2% beer. But legal liquor sales didn’t return until 1969.
The Museum of Discovery dates the first legal liquor drink sold here since 1896 to about 5 p.m. on August 8, 1969.
That’s a long wait for a cocktail. And a pretty good story to wear.

The town went wet. The shirt gets straight to it.

A birthday shirt with a very local punchline.

1896–1969. We think the town earned this one.

A little local history, off the top of your head.
