Being listed is not an endorsement. Best first is the default: neighbor vouches, then a business you can see and reach (photo or logo, its own claimed page, phone, website, address, a line about what it does), then its public track record (years, city permits, local press), then name. You can also sort For you (the kinds of businesses you picked, kept, are shopping for or rated, each lifted card says why), Most vouched, Newest or Name A–Z. Star ratings are never used, and nobody pays to move up.
