Talk to a person
Write to operator@thefortlist.com. A real person reads it. We are a small local operation, not a support desk — most messages get an answer within a couple of days, and we would rather tell you that than promise an hour and miss it.
If something is wrong at the door right now, find the door staff at the event. They can check you in manually and sort it out on the spot. That is always faster than email.
Getting into the app
- Signing in. The Fort List uses your TENEO account. If the sign-in screen keeps returning you to the start, your session has expired — sign in again.
- “Verify your phone”. Your entry pass needs a verified phone number, because the pass is how a door knows the person holding it is the person who reserved. Until the number is verified, your wallet will be empty. Verification is checked on our servers, not in the app, so signing out and back in will not skip it.
- Your wallet is empty. Passes appear once you have an RSVP to an upcoming event. Past events drop off automatically.
At the door
- Your QR expired. That is deliberate. Entry codes are short-lived so a screenshot cannot be passed around. Tap to generate a fresh one — you can do this as many times as you need, including while you are standing at the door.
- “Already checked in”. A pass admits one person once. If you genuinely have not been scanned yet, show the door staff — they can see the check-in record and correct it.
- Nothing happens when you scan yourself. Also deliberate. Check-in takes two people: you present, an authorised door operator scans. You cannot admit yourself.
- No signal at the venue. You can open the app and see your pass offline, but generating a fresh entry code needs a connection. If the room is a dead zone, the door staff can check you in manually.
Your data and your account
What we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy. The short version: we collect the least we can, we do not sell it, and we do not text you unless you ask us to.
To have your account and data deleted, email operator@thefortlist.com from the address on your account and say so. We will confirm when it is done. You do not need a reason, and you do not have to keep the app installed to ask.
To correct something we hold about you, or something we published, write to corrections@thefortlist.com.
For venues and organisers
If you run a room and want to be on The List, or you are already listed and something is wrong, email operator@thefortlist.com. We would rather fix a listing than have it sit wrong.
